Can I extract text from a scanned PDF?+
No. Scanned pages are pictures of text and need optical character recognition (OCR). This tool will tell you when it cannot find selectable text.
Does this convert PDF to Word or Excel?+
No. It creates plain text, without recreating the page layout or spreadsheet cells. For editable layouts, use the original document or a dedicated document conversion tool.
What if the conversion fails?+
Try a smaller file, close other busy tabs and use a recent browser. Check that the source opens correctly in another player or viewer. Contact support if the problem continues.
